The Broncos opened their 2009 season with a loss last night in Edinburg, falling 10-6.
The primary reason behind the Broncos starting 0-1 was that they issued 10 walks and hit 3 batters.
The Broncos scored six runs on 12 hits with one error, while the Roadrunners scored 10 runs on nine hits and one error.
The Broncos jumped out to a 4-0 lead, spurred by Mario Mendez's solo homer. But it was all downhill from there.
You can ready Ray Brito's account of the game here.
