Broncos get back on track in a big way

Well, the one home game I had to miss (due to covering a press conference) is the Broncos' biggest win of the season.

The Gateway Gang clubbed 20 hits en route to a 14-4 win over Amarillo, which entered the game tied for first place, on Wednesday night.

The highlight was Argelis Nunez's grand slam in the third inning.

Gustavo Vasquez earned the win for Laredo. He pitched six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits.

He walked two and struck out three.

Amarillo scored four runs on 10 hits and fell to 8-5 on the season.

Laredo improved to 3-10.

For a detailed account of the game, you can ready Ray Brito's account here.
