Hernandez's run of retiring 11 consecutive Colts was put to rest when Aaron Cone walked to leadoff the 7th.
But Santo still went strong, allowing no hits and no runs in the seventh.
The walk to Cone was his first of the game. He's allowed just six baserunners all game and has struck out eight.
If the Broncos' offense intends to reward Hernandez, there's not a better time to start than now.
The fact that a win tonight puts them in second place should also be more than enough motivation for Laredo.
