Sparklin' Schon

Broncos right-hander Andy Schon delivered the team's best pitching performance of the season on Wednesday night.

The righty threw a complete game -- the first for the Broncos this season -- and allowed no runs on nine hits while striking out nine en route to a 9-0 win over Edinburg.

Schon improved to 4-2 as the Broncos moved back to .500 at 21-21. Edinburg fell to 16-25 with the loss.

Ben Tinius hit his first homer of the season as Laredo scored nine runs on 13 hits and committed two errors.

Edinburg's Miguel Martinez (4-2) got the loss.

The Broncos scored in six separate innings and halted an offense that had scored 28 runs in the previous two games.

Here is the full detailed game report from the Broncos' website.

Laredo will start a three-game series in Alexandria tonight and will close the first half of the season on Saturday.

More from Wednesday's ULB action later tonight.
