The Alexandria Aces are now in line for the second first-half playoff spot after defeating San Angelo, 3-2, on Tuesday night.
Alexandria is now 23-17 as San Angelo fell to 23-18.
In more ULB action on Tuesday, the Harlingen WhiteWings, the worst team in the league, were the beneficiaries of a shortened five-inning contest after the game was called off due to rain.
The WhiteWings won, 6-1.
Amarillo still holds a two-game lead over Alexandria for the first-place playoff spot.
The first half of the season ends on June 28.
