Pre-game for Broncos vs. Colts, Game 3

The Broncos look to get at least one win in their series against the Colts tonight.

But the big story, apparently, has been last night's blog, which has caused furor amongst Bronco players.

The players reportedly had issues with GM Jose Melendez accusing them of a lack of effort and passion on the field.

The players who did have issue were those who actually play hard and show effort. So yes, they may have a point of concern.

But those players are of the few on this team, and I've heard rumblings that most of the players are ready to get away from the season and are interested in padding their numbers as they head into winter ball.

Anyway.

Right-hander Andy Schon (8-3, 4.26 ERA) is on the mound tonight for Laredo. Chris Weast (1-0, 5.00) will be his opponent.

As a reminder, the Broncos are one game up on Edinburg for the fourth and final playoff spot. The Coyotes are in the final game of their series against Amarillo, which comes to Laredo to start a three-game series tomorrow.

Heading into tonight's contest, the Broncos have lost two straight games, and six of their last 10.

The Colts are on a three-game winning streak and have won eight of their last 10.

Here's tonight's lineup:

DH   Sean Gamble
2B   Ivan Reyes
C     Luany Sanchez
CF   Edgard Clemente
LF    Dwayne White
SS    Arnoldo Ponce
1B   Matt Imwalle
3B   Ben Tinius
RF   Anthony Bennett
