The Harlingen WhiteWings are the worst team in United League Baseball.
But they obviously don't lack talent.
On Tuesday, catcher Matt Kramer's contract was bought by the Atlanta Braves. In eight games, he's hitting .222 with five doubles, four RBIs and six runs scored.
I'm not sure I see the major league appeal.
Kramer is a 2008 graduate of Harvard so he has smarts. He hit .310 with 16 RBIs in his senior year of college so I can only assume he's a wily catcher with good defensive know-how whom the Braves hope can develop as a hitter eventually.
Here's the press release from the WhiteWings' website.
