Pre-game for Broncos vs. Coyotes, Round 3

It's a muddy, rainy day here at Veterans Field but baseball will still be played...so far.

The teams are out throwing and umpires are on the phone talking to weather officials.

But, assuming there is a game, here's what you need to know.

The Broncos enter tonight's game at 23-24, three games ahead of Edinburg (20-27) for the fourth and final ULB playoff spot.

Lefty Sean Donlin (1-2, 3.93 ERA) is on the mound for Laredo. For Edinburg, Carlos Jan (1-0, 1.69) is on the mound.

Tonight's lineup for the Broncos:

CF   Steven Wright
SS   Arnoldo Ponce
RF   Dwayne White
C    Luany Sanchez
3B   Ben Tinius
DH   Matt Lawman
1B   Ivan Reyes
2B   Eric Padilla
LF   Anthony Bennett

Edgard Clemente, due to his poor hamstring and poor field conditions being an unfitting duo, will be held out of tonight's game.

There will also be no promotions to make the game go as quickly as possible. There is also no national anthem

The goal is to atleast get to five innings -- that way it's an official game -- tonight.

We shall see.

In related news, I strongly recommend the hamburger basket. It's really good. Seriously.
