The Laredo Broncos are sponsoring South Texas Food Bank night on
Wednesday, June 18 when the Broncos host San Angelo at Veterans Field at
7:30 p.m.
Mayor Raul Salinas and County Judge Danny Valdez will lead the seventh
inning stretch's singing of ''Take Me Out To The Ballgame."
The game is part of the Broncos give back Wednesday promotion during the
year when the team helps Laredo non-profit organizations.
A total of $2.50 from each general admission $5 ticket sold by the food
bank or on behalf of the food bank through Monday will go to the South
Texas Food Bank. Tickets can be bought from the food bank by calling Salo
Otero at 726-3120 or 324-2432.
The South Texas Food Bank helps 18,000 families per month and more than
35,000 individuals with supplemental food. More information call the food
