The Broncos are back at .500 after a 8-6 loss to Harlingen on Saturday night.
Broncos ace Santo Hernandez and David Cordona were ejected in the second inning when Hernandez unintentionally threw a pitch near Cordona's head in his at-bat.
The two argued and barked at each other at length until both were ejected, meaning the Broncos were again forced to misuse their bullpen.
Julian Williams (0-3), who relieved Hernandez, got the loss after digging Laredo into a 5-1 hole.
The Broncos would rally but it would fall short. Again a poor start doomed them.
The Broncos scored six runs on eight hits and committed two errors. Harlingen scored eight runs on 11 hits and committed one error.
The Broncos will start Dan Sausville, normally a late-inning reliever, tonight since normal No. 2 starter John Odom is back at home in Atlanta attending to family matters.
In other ULB news, the Alexandria Aces defeated first-place, Amarillo 14-6.
Palmer Karr, Jr. hit two bombs and drove in five runs.
Also on Saturday, San Angelo lost its third straight game by falling to Edinburg, 12-5.
Standings heading into Sunday's action:
AMARILLO 19-9
SAN ANGELO 16-15
LAREDO 15-15
ALEXANDRIA 15-15
HARLINGEN 13-18
